Weather conditions during the summer months in Savannah and the Coastal Lowlands are hot and humid. Temperatures for the month of July may reach the upper nineties and be accompanied by high levels of humidity. Many evenings are punctuated by brief thunderstorms that drop the temperature by about ten degrees.
Please note that some of the Landmark Sites do not have air conditioning. Water bottles, hats, sun screen and sun glasses are recommended for excursions. The hotel is air conditioned and participants should have sweaters or light jackets to accommodate the change in temperature.
